These terms govern your use of HireHelpers.com, which is operated by Hire Helpers LLC (“HireHelpers”, “we”). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.
Our role
HireHelpers is a marketplace that introduces homeowners to independent home-service professionals. We are not a contractor, we do not perform or supervise work, and we are not a party to agreements between homeowners and pros. You are responsible for deciding whom to hire, for checking licenses, insurance and references, and for the terms of your own agreement.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Homeowners
- Posting a job and messaging pros is free.
- Post only real projects you intend to consider hiring for.
- Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience with the pro.
Pros
- Profile information, including licenses and insurance, must be accurate and current.
- Every pro must accept our Pro Agreement and have a certificate of insurance reviewed. Pros are independent businesses and are solely responsible for their work, licenses, permits, insurance, and taxes. An “Insurance verified” badge reflects a document we reviewed, not a guarantee of coverage or workmanship.
- Credits are purchased in advance and spent to unlock leads. The price is shown before you unlock. Unlocks are final except where we decide a refund or credit is appropriate, for example when a lead is invalid.
- Use homeowner contact information only to respond to the request it came with. Do not resell it or add it to marketing lists.
- We may suspend profiles that violate these terms or receive repeated valid complaints.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no fraud, harassment, scraping, spam, fake reviews, or attempts to circumvent security or rate limits.
Content
You keep ownership of content you submit and grant us a license to host and display it as needed to operate the service, including displaying public profile information and reviews.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HireHelpers is not liable for the acts or omissions of pros or homeowners, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
